NextOpening Terms of Service
Effective version: 2026-08-14-v4
NextOpening is a marketplace and referral service operated by Ermias Ventures LLC. NextOpening does not itself perform the services listed by participating businesses.
Marketplace role
Participating businesses are independent providers. They control their services, staff, availability, licensing, insurance, service quality, and lawful operation. NextOpening does not employ, supervise, guarantee, or control a listed provider’s work.
Reservations and availability
An opening remains subject to its booking cutoff and may expire automatically. A customer request is not accepted until the business confirms it. Existing confirmed reservations remain in the transaction record even after the public opening expires.
Temporary hold and business confirmation
A customer request creates a short temporary hold so another NextOpening customer cannot claim the same capacity while the business checks availability. The request is not a confirmed appointment until the business explicitly accepts it. If the business does not respond before the hold expires, the hold is released. If the slot was filled through social media, phone, the business website, another booking platform, or another channel, the business may decline the request as Filled Elsewhere and close the opening.
Locked price
The advertised service price is snapshotted when the customer requests the opening. Once the business accepts the reservation, that price is locked. The business may honor or cancel the reservation but may not retroactively increase the locked price in NextOpening. Administrative corrections must preserve the original audit history.
Verified check-in
Before service begins, the customer and authenticated business are expected to complete mutual verified check-in using the reservation’s single-use code and separate confirmation. NextOpening records server-side timestamps and audit events for transaction verification and fraud prevention.
Completion and reviews
After the service window, NextOpening may ask the customer and business whether the service was completed. Conflicting responses may be marked disputed and reviewed. Customers using the secure reservation link may separately rate the business/service and the NextOpening experience.
Conduct and enforcement
Fraud, abusive behavior, repeated no-shows, false listings, circumvention of valid referral fees, harassment, impersonation, or attempts to manipulate reviews or check-in records may result in warning, suspension, removal, cancellation, or administrative review. NextOpening may preserve transaction and audit records after suspension or soft removal.
Service disputes
Disputes about the underlying service, including quality, injury, licensing, refunds, property damage, and provider conduct, are primarily between the customer and independent business. NextOpening may review marketplace records but does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Electronic notices
Users consent to transactional email and, when configured and consented to, text notifications concerning reservations, check-in, completion, invoices, disputes, and account security.
Changes
Materially updated terms may require renewed acceptance. NextOpening stores the accepted agreement version and timestamp.
These terms are a pre-launch draft and should be reviewed by qualified Ohio counsel before public commercial launch.
Deal alerts
Promotional deal alerts are optional. Customers may opt in or out at any time. Deal availability can change quickly and an email or notification does not guarantee an opening remains available.
